The volunteer bank
Two hours for the town
You don't need spare evenings every week to make a difference. Join our volunteer bank and, when a Wycombe organisation needs hands, we'll share the opportunity with you. Take the ones that fit your life, skip the ones that don't. Deliver on foot, make calls from home, or lend a skill for an afternoon.
We don't run the projects; the town's organisations do. We just make sure that when they ask, Wycombe answers.

The October issue is heading for tens of thousands of Wycombe letterboxes, and it gets there entirely by volunteers. Take a box for your street and be done in an afternoon.

Town Meeting 2
Pull up a chair. The town is talking.
Over a hundred Wycombians came to our first Town Meeting. On Sunday 15 November we do it again, bigger and more representative of the whole town. Expect short conversations with people you have never met, working tables at four scales (your street, your neighbourhood, your town and your county) and tables on the Vision 2035 themes. Every table ends with a project, named people and a date to report back. Free, all ages, with local groups to meet.

Where creativity and opportunity collide
Wycombe deserves to feel proud of itself. This vision is set by Wycombians at our town meetings, not handed down: less a plan than a direction, pulling together the best of what's already happening here.
From chairmakers to creators
Wycombe's makers, designers and creatives are already crafting its next chapter. We want to help them find each other.
On the corridor, not beside it
Wycombe sits on the Oxford–Cambridge growth corridor, with a university in the town centre. We want to help pull that opportunity in the same direction.
A town that showcases itself
There's a young, creative town here already, doing more than most people realise. Our job is to help it showcase what's good.
Small things, done by many hands
Small, local efforts already fix the small stuff: planters, clean-ups, street events. We want to connect them and seed-fund the best ideas.
A plan of our own
Plenty of people are already thinking hard about Wycombe's future. We want to bring those voices together, from the neighbourhood up.

Why the swan? Why the chairs?
Made together, by hand, by the river
The swan is Buckinghamshire's oldest badge, swimming through our W. The chairs are Wycombe's: two centuries of chairmakers built this town's name. Nobody makes a chair alone, and nobody fixes a town alone: Wycombians Organise carries that on.
Run by Wycombians, for Wycombe. Wycombians Organise has no outside funding. Everything you see here, from this website to the Town Meetings, is done by volunteers and kept going by small donations from people who care about the town.
